London Road Liverpool

This is looking down London Road towards Lime Street.At the bottom the Mersey Tunnel was yet to be built.Many Thanks to the Liverpool History Society and Mike Royden for help with these Liverpool pages.

John Tiernan from the Liverpool History Society had this to say about this particular shot: '.....The shops on the far right of the picture are listed in the 1919 Gore's/Kelly's as no.71 'Glynn, Walter Thomas, confectioner', and No.73 'Stewart's Clothiers'. They are on a block between Wilde Street and Norton Street (Stewart's being on the corner with Norton Street.'
