This photograph is the first of two 'copy jobs' that came into the shop in the 1930's.This photograph was old when it was copied. So its anybodies guess how old this photograph is.This windmill was used to power the saw mill that was in Rimington at the time. The mill was built in the early 19th century and was demolished early on in the 20th century. This is supposed to be the last windmill in the area at the time.Going back through previous centuries windmills like this one would of been a common sight around the Ribble Valley. The bottom photograph gives a better view of the windmill and the area.
